Shadow's in Photoshop
Floating Mountain By Aaron Cole
The tutorial we did was fun and easy, What we did was we took a mountain from a picture and put it in the sky to make it look floating, after that we put two objects in the sky to go with it. i decided that i should add the one lady from wizard of oz into my picture, i also added a blue moon but added some effects to it. I'd say i definitely learned alot from this tutorial, such as how to get rid of pixel fringe which was a easy process thanks to the tutorial. I also learned how to put some cool filters onto images. Next time i would probably change the pictures that i add into the project. I would keep the filters the same. I think 'll

Red spheres
With Both spheres finished the first thing i learned with illustrator and photoshop is that you can do a lot with the gradient tool, such as these spheres that i made. From Photoshop to illustrator i would definently say that illustrator is the better one to make shapes with gradients and over all just creating stuff. I'd say that photoshop is more for editing pictures and just adding touches to already created images. as for the spheres the one on top was created with illustrator and the bottom one was created with Photoshop.
Creative Pieces
http://www.photoshoplady.com/tutorial/create-a-nice-3d-ball/5131
For my creative pieces i made some spheres the first one didn't turn out the way i wanted it to because of the tool i used: distort, Spherize but i have never used the tool before so i couldn't figure it out so i went with it and edited some of it out to get the final result, the next one i had was the Apple circle and here is the link for this tutorial http://www.axialis.com/tutorials/tutorial-misc003.html

Multiplane
This is my Multiplane Video
Today i finished my Multiplane video, i learned how to take 2D Objects and make them look more realistic. For this project we used Adobe After Affects, to get the planes to move at different speeds all i did was use the position tool and move them at different speeds to get the effect of up close and far away. This project was not finished i still have to edit the speeds but it's turned in for now.

Plausible Impossible
Mickey Phases through a mirror in order to get to the next room, Impossible: You can't phase through a mirror especially if it only has one side to it and I'm pretty sure mirrors don't strech. Plausible you can walk through glass, you could do it but it would hurt
in this one we see Mickey land on a chair and it suddenly comes alive soon after he lands on a footstool and it takes of running and very upset.
Furniture comes alive: Impossible chairs and foot stools can't grow faces and emotions, they also can't run around the room. Plausible: some rocking chairs move on there own.
Here we see Mickey Marching with a pack of cards as well as dancing with them. Impossible: Cards do not come alive and grow arms and legs and move around, Plausible: you could shuffle them to get them to dance..i guess
Mickey is chased by all the cards in the room and is trapped in the basket, pretty much dog piled by the cards, Impossible: again cards can't come alive and chase after things, Plausible thy could have been put in the basket in the first place and he could of been trapped in there.
Mickey is apparently dreaming and so he is running back to his body to wake himself up Impossible: There is no scientific proof that you can leave your body to dream...Plausible Maybe thats how people dream is leaving your body to do other things.

Sketches
Here or some of my sketches that drew for my personal logo, i kind of followed the one just above the circular shield (the very linear one) although i changed it up a bit i think it closely follows it. Sketching definitely helped get an inspiration for my personal logo. overall i'm VERY happy with the way it turned out

MY SHIELD
This is one of the shields i made for a tutorial during the Graphic design tutorials.
Overall i am very happy with the results and i also made multiple versions with different color schemes but i chose this as the one to use.
i learned how to use white cursor to the best of my ability changing the way it looks.

Logo
This is my personal logo i made in illustrator it has my initials.
I chose a very linear logo because it is unique and you don't see that very much. I had a sketch that was similar but it didn't have the A in a linear manner. I learned how to use the gradient tool even more. I think i did the color scheme really well because they blend together. I'd say that i could change the background color to something different. I need to work on gradient tools more.Tuesday, September 23, 2014
The Pre Launch to google was in 1997 google changed there logo color scheme many times.
as Ruth Kedar says "We ended up with the primary colors, but instead of having the pattern go in order, we put a secondary color on the L, which brought back the idea that Google doesn't follow the rules." this color scheme is the one they use today which was launched in 2013 and continues to be Googles logo
they started with the idea of keeping it like this:

Today i finished another Animation, its a Robot with very weird colors and limbs, it's in a crab walk pose which made it very difficult to animate walking because it could only go so far before it would stretch out and look unnatural. As for the arm's i kind of gave up and just went with it.
Getting the keyframes to work was a problem because every time i would attempt to edit the keyframes they would duplicate for some reason, the answer to solving that problem was to restart completely. As for making him move i used the Deform tool the whole time which is a bit difficult to get the same movement over and over again, besides that i prefer to use the Deform tool because i have lot more fun animating with it.
3 Things i learned while animating his walking movement:
1: In order to get a smooth movement with the deform tool you have to use the Keyframes that are displayed on the screen and keep the movement going back and forth
2: Its helpful to make Compositions inside of Compositions
3: And also the Deform tool is very unreliable
If i could redo this project i would spend more time on the way he moves and perfect it.
With the overall Animation i'd say i'm ok with the Animation but i feel i could do better with more time

This was our first project of the year, it was to make a pencil and cup we made it in Adobe Illustrator.
This was our second project where we made our own pencil using Illustrator:
This 3rd project was something we wanted to make on our own using illustrator:
3 take aways:
1. when using the polygon tool you can change shapes by using arrows
2. To round an object you need to use anchor points
3.you can use the live paint tool to add color

Bounce
In class today i finished my first Animation for this year it's called: Bounce, it took about 4 days to complete with multiple versions made. Instead of using Photoshop we used After Effects which so far it's been totally worth the change. The overall project was pretty easy and i learned a lot about After Effects.

What is Graphic Design?
Graphic Design is everywhere. You see it everyday, on your Coke can, Posters and Billboards. To me Graphic Design is the art in which people use their creative mind set to the best of there ability in creating different types of labels, images and posters.
